It is noticeable, that the number of enterprises grew beside the COVID-19 negative impact: there was a decline in 2020, but in 2021 the growth continued. The amount of cargo transported by trucks (figure 6) also grew steadily until the COVID-19 outbreak. The overall growth was 3% with a CAGR of +0,45%. The increase in transported goods indicates the rise in demand of the US citizens for truckload companies’ services Currently the world is gradually recovering after the peak of the pandemic. The transportation services industry, being the key part of any supply chain, plays a vital role in this recovery, thus we can assume, that the demand will return to the previous level shortly. Previously, we have observed that the number of enterprises grew in the field of truckload industry – the same trend can be seen in the employment (figure 7): overall, the number of employees grew up by 4% during the observed period with a CAGR of 0,21%.
